Alnwick Gardens Just 20 minutes drive from Haggerston Castle, an enormous
and impressive fountain lies at the heart of this selection of beautifully landscaped gardens.
The Alnwick Gardens features, amongst others, a maze, a water garden and, for the brave among
you, a poison garden. 2 cafes, a stunning treehouse restaurant, nearby woodland walks and a
gift shop complete the Alnwick Gardens experience.

as 'the Jewel of the Northumberland Coast', Holy Island is only accessible
across a causeway at low tide. A great day out for visitors to the area -
be sure to see the castle, museum and priory and sample the local Lindisfarne Mead!

The Farne Islands Bird lovers will enjoy a trip to the Farne Islands.
Boat trips are available lasting around 2 ˝ hours, including a cruise around all
the islands, to view birds on the cliff faces and grey seal colonies, and a one
hour stop at Inner Farne to explore the island.

| Ford and Etal 10 minutes from Haggerston Castle Holiday Park,
Ford and Etal is packed with interesting and entertaining visitor attractions.
Heatherslaw visitors centre is a good place to start, with information about
Etal Castle, Flodden Battlefield, Ford Nursery and more. All of the attractions
at Ford and Etal lie within 4 miles of each other, with the Heatherslaw light
railway offering a good excuse to leave the car. |
